Faith, Curiosity, and the Courage to Grow
I don’t believe we’re required to subscribe to a single belief system in order to live with integrity. I was raised Christian, and I genuinely appreciate the values I was taught - love, compassion, integrity, accountability. I will forever try to live by them. Over time, though, I’ve come to understand myself as more spiritual than strictly religious. Not in opposition to Christianity, but beside it. Faith and spirituality aren’t competing ideas to me. They coexist.


Thanksliving: Gratitude Beyond The Holidays
I’ve watched people fight for breaths I take without thinking. I’ve held hands with families who prayed for one more morning. I’ve cared for patients whose only wish was more time. These moments stay with me and remind me to live more intentionally.


Not All “Hurt” People Hurt People: Turning Pain Into Purpose
Not all hurt people hurt people. Some hurt people choose to heal and some people choose to not only heal, but help others by turning their pain into purpose. I loved when I heard, Taylor’s song, Eldest Daughter, because it touches on how it’s difficult to be our sincere, true self publicly because that’s not what our culture rewards. Our culture rewards putting on the show of being “unbothered.” There’s pressure so many of us feel to stay strong, composed, and “fine” all the
